bodyfurnace
Formed by Commercial Graphic Designer Steven Ekanger and Film Score Composer Christian Connett, bodyFurnace create an industrial ambience from samples, synths, and scintilating rhythms from dissonant angst to a distressed outlook on reality.

For deeper meaning to life, bodyFurnace propels their emotion-driven, and often angry voice to the edge of subtlty touching on topics of hatred, abuse, depression, and decadence.

bodyFurnace released their first CD - 'failure by design' in early 2001. With an electronica/ambience feel, 'fbd' set the stage for the bodyFurnace sound, especially on tracks such as "hatred" and "godspeed". At the end of 2001, they released their second full-length CD entitled: 'viol? d'un dieu' featuring - "fetal position", "the final solution", "sinking" and many more! This sophmore release proves to be a powerful comeback from the ambient sounds of 'failure'... Many tracks include vocals or words, which were not previously coherent on their first release. 'viol? d'un dieu' is intended to open your mind, your eyes, and your life. You will see what you do not want to see, and feel what you try so hard to hide.

In the interim, bodyFurnace released a four song E.P. that contained demos for the upcoming 'Reciprocation' release, as well as a remix of "The Final Solution" from 'viole d'un dieu'. "Exhaust (v1)" was actually featured on the JEL Compilation disc (as well as on the website), sharing the compilation with fellow artists Destrophy.

The thrid release from bodyFurnace, 'reciprocation' stepped out of the electronica/ambience realm and more into the industrial fliar. Several tracks boast a more typical song structure (e.g. verse, bridge, choruse, etc.) that show the bands maturity and growth.

Afer a long hiatus, bodyFurnace are back to reclaim the Industrial Ambience throne they once attained and are currently working on a full-length disc showcasing more than three years of music and the sound that is bodyFurnace.

The brand new song, "Dirty Little Men" will be the first single from the upcoming, as-yet untitled release, and will be featured in this Summer's blockbuster "Dirty Little Men" from Thor Moreno and 5490 Studios. Christian has been retained to Score the entire film, as well as produce the complete Soundtrack that will feature music by bodyFurnace, Christian, Destrophy, Wreckage of the Modern City, (former label-mates) Pushing Earth, and more!
